Resettlement Specialist – Roles, Responsibilities & Qualifications

1. Resettlement Specialist

Responsibilities:

  • Implement Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) as per World Bank guidelines.
  • Conduct field surveys, consultations, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ensure proper compensation distribution to affected households.
  • Monitor land acquisition processes and maintain social safeguards.

  • Support the Project Director in all resettlement-related matters.

Educational Qualifications & Essential Skills

  • Master’s degree from HEC-recognized university.
  • Strong analytical and field survey skills.
  • Knowledge of World Bank ESF, OP 4.12, RAP documentation.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, reporting tools, and data documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English, Urdu, and Pashto preferred.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Pakistani national with valid CNIC.
  • Age limit: 30–45 years.
  • Must be able to travel frequently between Islamabad, Peshawar, and project sites (Torkham corridor).
